I'm Marion Boulicault, a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Edinburgh, and the Director of Interdisciplinary Research and Community at the Harvard GenderSci Lab . Prior to Edinburgh, I served as Distinguished Postdoctoral Scholar in Ethics & Technology at the MIT College of Computing, and a Junior Research Fellow at Trinity Hall College, University of Cambridge. I have a PhD in philosophy from MIT, an MPhil in the history & philosophy of science from the University of Cambridge, and a BSc in environmental science from UNC Chapel Hill.

My work takes a feminist approach to questions in the ethics of technology, philosophy of science, and bioethics. My PhD dissertation (awarded the Benjamin Siegel Prize) investigated how social norms are entangled in scientific measurements of fertility. I've written about my research for The Guardian and Slate. 

I'm  a co-founder of MIT's Experiential Ethics program and I served as a Neuroethics Fellow at the Center for Neurotechnology (2015 - 2021). I've also been a co-director of PIKSI, a philosophy summer school for students from under-represented groups. Before my graduate studies in philosophy, I was a Research Associate at the Environmental Law Institute.
