Dr Merlin Seller completed their MA and Mst at St Andrews and Oxford respectively, and obtained their doctoral thesis at the University of East Anglia under the supervision of David Peters Corbett on the topic of transmedium and intermedium works between film, photography and painting in interwar England. With a background in Art History and Visual Cultural Studies, and four years' teaching experience in game design they are currently Lecturer in Design and Screen Cultures, working across visual studies, film studies and game studies. Their present research interests are Phenomenology in games and comics, Horror Studies, Post-digital aesthetics, Thing Theory and Queer Theory.
