Biography

Background:

I am a highly motivated and experienced research professional with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Electrical Power Engineering. Currently, I am working as a Research Associate in Artificial Intelligence for Virtual Power Plants, where I am leveraging my expertise to develop innovative solutions for the energy sector.

Academic and Research Experience:

Prior to my current role, I held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Centre for Advances in Reliability and Safety (CAiRS) in Hong Kong, China, where I contributed to cutting-edge research projects in electrical power systems. Additionally, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, further expanding my research expertise.

Education:

I earned my PhD in Electrical Power Engineering from King Saud University in 2020, where my research focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence in various aspects of electrical power systems.

Research Interests:

My research interests revolve around the application of Artificial Intelligence in different layers of electrical power systems, including:

  • Power system operation and control systems
  • Energy management
  • Grid-integration of renewable energy sources
  • Protection systems
  • Transient and dynamic stability
  • Condition monitoring and early anomaly detection of power electronics in induction heating applications

I am passionate about exploring the potential of AI in improving the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of electrical power systems, and I am committed to advancing the field through my research and collaborations.
