Orlando Lloyd is a lecturer on the Graphic Design Programme. He has worked in educational institutions including Edinburgh College of Art and Glasgow School of Art and with initiatives such as Graphic Design Festival Scotland, Art Link and Edinburgh Science Festival. Orlando has a Masters from Glasgow School of Art, and prior to this studied at Edinburgh College of Art.
After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art, Orlando worked as a designer in studios and agencies across the UK and US. He now maintains a professional graphic design practice working with clients and organisations, primarily in the arts and cultural fields.
Alongside his teaching and design practice, Orlando’s research focuses on editorial design and independent publishing. His current research direction examines the future of physical libraries and their shifting role in the modern world, notably as part of the ‘House That Heals The Soul’ exhibition at The Tetley, Leeds. He also works on a number of publishing projects relating to his research on alternative forms of publishing.
