Biography
Paola Cazzini graduated in 2008 from the Veterinary University of Milan (Italy) and worked a few years in small animal private practice. In 2010 she enrolled in a combined clinical pathology residency and Master's program at the University of Georgia (USA). In 2013 she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology and started working as a clinical pathologist at the University of Glasgow. She joined the pathology department of the University of Edinburgh in 2015. Her main research interests are in clinical pathology including cytology and haematology, with a particular interest in ferrets, and other exotic species.
Teaching
Paola has a particular interest in teaching and she is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy. She is currently involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. In regards to undergraduate teaching, she is mainly involved in teaching clinical pathology during the final year rotation and teaches in the 3rd year pathology course. Paola also teaches in the on-line Masters 'Advances in Clinical Practices' amd contributes to resident teaching and mentoring.
