My most recent scientific research included the causes and complications of diabetes (potential link between exposure to environmental contaminants in the womb and the development of diabetes in later life, and the role of endogenous cannabinoids in diabetic neuropathy and immune dysregulation). I am no longer research active in the field of biomedical science. As a science educator, I now conduct pedagogical research; recent activities include online learning, widening participation, and use of learning analytics to better support students.
