Biography

Qi (a.k.a. Charles) is a lecturer with a special interest in the modelling of blood flow and biofluids in microfluidic devices, vascular networks and biological tissues. His other research interests include bioinspired microswimmers and medical micro/nanorobots. Previously he was a PhD researcher (Principal's Career Development Scholar & Edinburgh Global Research Scholar) and subsequently a research associate in the Institute for Multiscale Thermofluids (IMT) at the School of Engineering, the University of Edinburgh (UoE). Before arriving in the UK, he worked on smart devices for nanomedicine in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
