Personal profile

Biography

I am a clinical research fellow in stroke epidemiology, and have been working with Professor Cathie Sudlow (in association with UK Biobank) on the development of stroke ascertainment and classification methods for large epidemiological studies. I have been awarded a personal fellowship (CHSS) to investigate the associations between blood pressure and the different pathological types of stroke in UK Biobank. My particular interest is in the association between Blood Pressure Variability (BPV) and stroke. I am currently investigating the potential of primary care coded data to identify individuals with BPV in large population-based cohorts.
