Research Interests

I am interested in understanding the fundamental elements of learning. My research takes a reductionist approach by investigating some of the simplest independently viable behavioural circuits that still demonstrate all the features of advanced learning (neuroplasticity). To this end, my research has concentrated on the ventral nervous system of the adult fruit fly. I first collated and digitised all historical and community neuroanatomy knowledge to facilitate its consolidation with future connectomic data.
