Sara-Ann obtained her degree in veterinary nursing in 2005 from Edinburgh’s Napier University. She spent most of her practical training at the R(D)SVS and enjoyed it so much that after some time spent in a general practice in fife, rejoined the nursing team at the R(D)SVS.
Sara-Ann took about 1½ years out from working at the hospital to go and explore Australia. This experience was amazing she found it such a joy to work as a veterinary nurse over there and see how they do things differently. She is very glad of the chance and opportunity that she had to experience Australia and hope to use those experiences back here.
Sara-Ann was given the opportunity to become the Dechra sponsored dedicated feline nurse within the Feline Clinic in 2010. She has enjoyed this challenge and seeing all the different cases that come through the doors.
At the end of 2014 Sara-Ann was successful in becoming the dedicated nurse in the Cardiology department. Sara-Ann Obtained her Veterinary Technicians Specialty certificatie in cardiology [VTS-IM (cardiology)] in 2021. She is the second person in the UK to achieve this certifiacte and is only only of 3 in the UK currently
