Medieval and early modern European literature with an emphasis in Scottish and Catalan literature.
The main focus of my research concerns the social and political dimension of culture and the construction of class, gender, national and cultural identities with a particular emphasis on Translation Studies and comparative cultural studies. I have also paid special attention to the conflictive intercultural relationships between minority/minorised languages and cultures and hegemonic cultures (Catalan-Spanish and Scots-English).
