Biography

Currently transitioning to clinical research with her role at Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit, working on the following clinical trials:

  • ABC Sepsis: comparing the feasibility of 5% Albumin with balanced crystalloid, as intravenous fluid rescucitation in adult patients with sepsis
  • SCOT HEART2: comparing the current standard of care for cardiovascular disease, using a Scottish 'risk score' woith CTCA scan guided care management
  • LACI2: assessing the safety and efficacy of cilostazol and isosoride mononitrate to prevent recurrent lacunar stroke and progression of small cerebral small vessel disease

Visiting scientist with the Kwok lab at the School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Leeds on her project: "Enhancement of plasticity for functional recovery after spinal cord injury".
