Dr Stuart J. McGurnaghan is a senior clinical research scientist at the University of Edinburgh located at the Western General Hospital. His extensive research encompasses Genetic Epidemiology, Population Health, COVID-19, Risk Prediction, and Electronic Health Records. Dr. McGurnaghan has authored over 70 research publications, accumulating more than 2000 citations. His work has deepened our understanding of the genetic and environmental factors influencing diabetes, informed population health strategies, explored the intersection of diabetes and COVID-19, developed risk prediction models, and harnessed electronic health records for improved diabetes care.
