Biography

Susan began work at the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies in 2000 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2003. Her interest in nutrition and internal medicine lead her to undertake further study whilst working full time throughout all specialist areas of the busy referral hospital and she completed her diploma in advanced veterinary nursing in 2009. Her love for intensive care nursing led her to take up a senior role at a private referral and emergency hospital in Glasgow for 2 years where she also completed further study and gained a certificate in emergency and critical care. She then returned, joining the senior veterinary nurse team at Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies and took up the role of nutrition nurse in 2015. Susan gained a certificate in small animal nutrition in 2018 and her passion for nutrition has grown the service where she continues to lead the Fit for Life - nutrition care clinic.
