Biography

Dr Tim Wilkinson is a Clinical Lecturer in Neurology in the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences, University of Edinburgh. 

A previous MRC Clinical Research Training Fellow, Tim completed his PhD in Epidemiology in 2020. His research focuses on the use of routinely-collected health data (such as primary care or hospital admissions data) in dementia prevention studies. Tim co-created the SAIL Dementia e-Cohort (SAIL-Dec, https://portal.dementiasplatform.uk/Home/SAILDementiaECohort), a 'virtual' cohort created from Welsh routine data, designed to facilitate epidemiological dementia research.
