Dr. Uta Hinrichs' research and teaching is at the intersection of visualization and Human Computer Interaction (HCI). Her research is driven by the question of how to combine visualization and interface design to facilitate insightful, pleasurable and critical interactions with data in digital and physical space. Uta’s research approach is inherently interdisciplinary and collaborative, drawing from computer science, design, the humanities and pedagogy.
