Research Interests

 Antecedents of later life health and psychological well-being outcomes, lifespan psychological development, contributions of cognitive ability to later-life outcomes, structures and development of intelligence and personality, antecedents of and sex differences in academic achievement, statistical techniques for understanding development and gene-environment correlation and interaction, longitudinal data analysis and the methods of assessing genetic and envirnmental influences on population structures. In short, how we become who we are.

Teaching

I teach Differential in Psychology 2, Fourth-Year Tutorials, and Individual Differences in Mental Health for the Clinical School's Conversion Course. With Zach Horne, I compiled a set of online Critical Thinking Exercises for Y3 students to substitute for the Mini-Disses not running in 21/22. Of course I also supervise Y4 and some MSc Dissertations. My Y34 Transition to Adulthood course is on the books but not running in 21/22.
