Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab-Silver Sustainability Award

Prize: Prize (including medals and awards)

Description

This is a very tough time for everyone, and we continue wishing you well wherever you are and hoping you're taking good care of yourselves.
In the middle of all this uncertainity and worry we thought it would be nice to share some good news. We are happy to announce that the Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab has been awarded the 2020 Silver Sustainability Award from the Department for Social Responsibility & Sustainability. The award recognises the effort in reducing the lab carbon footprint, sharing good practices, improving waste management and moving towards more sustainable and less energy-demanding approaches. After receiving the Bronze Award last year, the team of the Chemical Engineering Teaching lab has increased its effort into further improving our practises towards more sustainable methods. The Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab is the only UG Teaching Lab to receive the award in the
University.

Congratulations go to the Chem Eng Lab 3 Team - @Dr Enzo Mangano, @Dr Dani Orejon-Mantecon, @Dr Harvey Huang and @Dr Ignacio Tudela-Montes - and especially to @Mr Gordon Paterson, for their effort in improving the sustainability of the Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab.
