The Foik Award is presented annually by the Texas Catholic Historical Society to an author selected for the most important recent publication relating to the Catholic history of the Southwest. The award was for the article "The Catholic Church in the Diocese of Galveston-Houston and Desegregation, 1945-1984", Southwestern Historical Quarterly 124, no. 1 (July 2020): 16-48.
