A study to obtain a profile of the children and families involved in Serious Case Reviews (SCRs) for a specific Safeguarding Children's Board in England. The study involved reviewing 24 SCRs to provide an overview of the main practice themes arising from the reports and looked at different factors including: type of case, perpetrator profile, child factors, environments, role of statutory/other agencies, information on the review process and report.
