Description
The aims of the proposed research and knowledge exchange activities are to promote antiracist education and community engagement across the early years sector, from health to education and to provide the evidence and knowledge base to inform developments linked to the Early Childhood Research, Policy and Practice centre.
In particular the programme of activities will focus on 1) understanding the experiences of Black and Minority ethnic communities through community engagement which will inform the development work of the early childhood research-policy-practice centre in both the fields of education and health and 2) direct impact by offering training and knowledge exchange events to support anti-racist education across the early years sector, from health to education. The work will be widely disseminated through the outputs (both written and audio-visual). We have already engaged and will continue to engage with a range of stakeholders from policy and practice, including the Scottish Government and the Minister for Children and Young People Maree Todd to provide support in anti-racist education across the early years sector
