Archiving Scottish Dance: Collecting the past, present, and future dance of Scotland

Project Details

Description

This project, supported by the Challenge Investment Fund (round 18) aims to establish a formal network for dance research across Scotland, which will help to address a considerable gap in provision and scholarship. It will enable researchers to map dance production outside of well-known creative centres in the Central Belt (Glasgow and Edinburgh), facilitate closer connections between industry and academia, and create a platform of greater visibility for Scotland as a region of excellence in dance research. Crucially, the relationship between academic and industry partners will be reciprocal and mutually beneficial, forging relationships between universities, colleges, and arts organisations.
