Description
Café des Artistes is a monthly discussion/knowledge exchange event run by the ARTIST ROOMS Research Partnership, a consortium of universities led by HIstory of Art in ECA. Each event focuses on an artist within the ARTIST ROOMS collection owned by Tate/National Galleries of Scotland (there are currently 36 artists represented in the collection). Two/Three academics/curators/students present on the work of artist. This is followed by an opportunity for informal discussion and a concluding Q+A session.
The project was to run 8 cafes in the year including two in venues outside Edinburgh, and to run a one-day training session for a team of MSc interns on public engagement in collaboration with Beltane Public Engagement Network.
