Project Details
Key findings
A database system handling pedigree, genotype and phenotype data and associated data reformatting tools was developed and maintained. Species for which the system has been implemented include chicken, pig, cow, sheep, mouse, salmon, sea bass, turkey and oyster.
Other tools relating to genetic analyses were also developed and published, notably an interactive application for checking the Mendelian inheritance of genotypes through a pedigree (GenotypeChecker) and a stand-alone application for drawing genetic linkage maps (ArkMap)
