This project aims to characterise long-term changes in Iron Age ceramic technology at the oppidum of Monte Bernorio using ceramic petrography and other archaeometric methods. The project focuses on the provenance and types of clay and temper, comparing the 'clay recipes' of hand-made and wheel-made ceramics. The project contributes to our understanding of the organisation of ceramic production at the site.
