Description
Commissioned by Scottish Enterprise, this project set out to estimate the total value of climate tech companies to the Scottish economy.
Key findings
The project first had to define what was included in climate tech before pulling together data on turnover and investment from multiple sources. It calculates an overall value of c. £15Bn with the largest sectors by far being power and renewables.
