Data-driven Teaching and Learning. The case of Spanish Grammar.

Project Details

Description

Data-driven learning (DDL) is an approach to foreign language learning. Whereas most language learning is guided by teachers and specific textbooks that are not necessarily linked to the curriculum, data-driven learning treats language as data and students as researchers undertaking guided discovery tasks. It also uses the data produced by students to form a learner corpus where teachers can find answers and materials to adequate better the learning program to the needs of the students. In this project we are applying this innovative methodology to teach in a more effective way some Spanish grammar features to university students.
