Development of a Solar Cooker based on Phase-Change Materials

  • Konar, Sumit (Principal Investigator)

Project Details

Description

This project plans to develop and evaluate a prototype solar cooker that stores heat, which can then be used in tropical regions of the world for cooking after sunset. Our concept is to convert electrical power from a cheap solar PV panel into heat that is then stored in a readily available, phase-change material (PCM) that releases heat on demand.
