Description
A project to design develop and manufacture a series of installations to inaugurate the new transport hub, Edinburgh Gateway. This is based on innovative research at ESALA on flexible forming techniques for concrete. It also involved school engagement with South Queensferry Community High School, Inverkeithing High School.
Key findings
Largest fabric formed construction to date, comprising large concrete 'tree' as part of a landscape intended to suggest urban biodiversity a series of interpretive panels developed in conjunction with the schools on the themes of urban bio-diversity, innovation and place. Project delivered on time.
