Layman's description

I am working from the journal and book of a nineteenth century assisted migrant who travelled from Dundee, Scotland, to Sydney, New South Wales in 1848, with a view to uncovering the personal, social and cultural issues in the migration journey.

Key findings

I am writing a blog a month for a year, starting in April 2019, covering different themes including gender, 'race', environment etc.
