EIA of a rice husk gasification technology in Cambodia for SNV, including waste water paramaters.
Rice husk can be converted into an energy rice gas that can supply an engine with fuel for power or electricity. However, gasification produces some waste products, especially waste water. This project evaluated these waste water and sludge wastes.
All of the nine gasifiers investigated suffered from serious to very serious waste water and sludge problems. The most serious problem was polycylic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediments deposited from waste water stream.
