The project will involve a genetically-informed family design to examine the relationship between depression and cognition. The study will utilise the Generation Scotland sample (www.gen.scot) and will involve mixed-effects statistical models in ASReml-R. The project would suit someone interested in genomics and psychiatry and individuals who want to develop skills in statistical programming or genomics.
This project will examine whether there is a relationship between clinical depression and cognition and whether the relationship is mediated by current symptoms rather than disease liability.
