The STAY-SAFE study aims to evaluate the “Keeping Safe” Talking Mats tool (https://www.talkingmats.com/keeping-safe-and-safeguarding/) with learning disability nurses (LDNs) in forensic services. The objectives are to: 1) examine how this visual communications tool supports adults with LD to discuss perceptions of risk and safety needs, 2) explore how LDNs use Talking Mats with clients in forensic services, and 3) identify the barriers and facilitators to implementing the tool.
