PROJECT FUNDED BY A SPENCER FOUNDATION GRANT
AIM: To raise learners’, student-teachers’, and teachers’ awareness of social justice through a collaborative action research study grounded in culturally-responsive instruction and materials. The study takes place in Argentina.
Research questions
• In what ways can secondary school learners improve their social justice awareness and academic performance in English as a foreign language lessons when learning is supported with culturally-responsive, social justice-oriented materials?
• To what extent does student-teachers’ and teachers’ engagement in materials development and research support their social justice-orientated professional development?
