Hybrid technologies in early colonial Mexico: an archaeometric study of ceramics from San Miguel Achiutla

This study will elucidate changes and continuities in the production of Indigenous ceramics in Mexico in the wake of colonisation. Archaeometric analyses of a sample of pottery from excavated Indigenous households stand to reveal how Native families adopted ceramics imported from Europe and/or produced local imitations of them.
