Language Policy and Practice in the internationalised university: A case study

Project Details

Description

This project plans to investigate language policy processes at the levels of texts, discourses and practices in an international university in the UK. This project will thus provide a holistic understanding of language policy processes in relation to internationalisation processes. It is hoped that findings will contribute to methodological developments of the field of Language Policy as very few studies have so far investigated language policy at the levels of text, discourse and practice using a combination of Discourse Analysis and Conversation Analysis. It is also hoped that findings will help shape higher-educational language policies as universities engage in internationalization processes.
