Amy Hardie is collaborating with trauma experts, and mental health advocates in order to create and disseminate a feature documentary that aims to show how mental health support can be located, and what is involved in the journey to wellness.
A feature documentary following the first ten years of a young couple's marriage. Both bring secrets and a history of trauma to the wedding. They grapple with extreme mental illness, and discover ways to explore and recover from trauma.
Mental illness is rising, particularly among the younger population. The most experienced sector of expertise is arguably from armed forces veterans organisations. Their findings seem to be applicable to early childhood sexual trauma.
