Project Details
Key findings
This project was a collaboration between the University of Edinburgh and the IAH. The objective was to develop a microarray to detect gene expression in Marek's disease. Microchips expressing Marek's disease virus DNA representing the whole genome were prepared and used to detect viral gene expression in different tissues at different times on infection. The microarray proved highly successful and was used by workers in the Marek's disease virus field.
