Description

This project is a collaboration led by University of Stirling including partners in University of Glasgow, University of Edinburgh, Scottish Government and Scottish SPCA. The aim is to gather fundamental data on the scale of mobile animal exhibit (MAE) industry in Scotland, UK. It will also examine the activities and educational interventions mobile exhibits engage in, the animals used, and animal welfare related issues.

Mobile animal exhibits (MAE) are businesses that take collections of animals to venues for animal-based activities and educational interventions. This project is the first to asses the scale of this industry and to collect data on their activities, animals and animal welfare.
