Layman's description
This project was undertaken by a consortium of Edinburgh, Manchester and Southampton Universities. It supported the development of software and software teams on which UK researchers depend in the Grid and Cloud contexts.
Key findings
A wide range of intensively used software components were made capable of running in many contexts with sufficient capability, reliability and usability. A one-stop-shop for these software was established and a programme commissioned software development at other research institutions in the UK and beyond.
