Project Details
Description
Samples of brain tissue from BSE infected cattle and a non infected control group were analysed by SELDI-MS technology and the resultant protein profile data utilised to construct a mathematical model of disease.
Key findings
A panel of protein markers can be constructed from differential protein expression profiling which could be used to detect the presence of TSE disease.
