Prediction and integration in human parsing

Syntactic processing difficulty is the product of both integration cost and prediction cost. This can be shown by investigating reading times for sentences in verb final language such as German.
There is evidence for prediction effects in naturalistic corpus data, and limited evidence for integration effects in such data. This can be shown using mixed effects modeling in the Dundee corpus.
