Description

This programme of work involves looking at review processes in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and North America to identify data collected on child deaths, the main risk factors that emerge; the differences in approaches to child death reviews and effectiveness of the review process in reducing child deaths. The research adopts a case study approach with 10 case studies being conduced in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, England and Wales. The case studies comprise documentary analysis and interviews with key informants.
