Description
This research proposal expanded on an on-going ethnographic project in Medellin, Colombia, looking at emerging intangible cultural heritage in the city that I have conducted since 2015. This research looks at a network of grassroots cultural producers and art collectives in Medellin, focusing on their collaborative artistic initiatives with local communities, disaffected youth and other initiatives, as well as on their practices of communicating their work to public art institutions and municipal authorities.
