Stratifying Depression using Genetic Information

This project will use a large data set of individuals with depression drawn from the Generation Scotland sample (www.gen.scot). the project will involve examining genetic risk factors associated with physical and psychiatric disorders and using these to stratify depression into more homogeneous entities.

Depression is not one entity but many disorders grouped together under a shared symptom. This project will use genetic information to dissect depression into its component subtypes.
