Technological conservatism and innovation in Iron Age southwest Iberia: A petrographic analysis of the pottery from the hillfort of Castrejón de Capote

This project will undertake petrographic analysis and geochemical analyses of a sample of pottery from the Iron Age hillfort of Castrejón de Capote (SW Spain). The proposed study will examine the differences between selected samples of hand-made and wheel-turned pottery, contrasting the innovation displayed by the latter with the remarkable conservatism of the former.
