The Binks Hub - Co-creating research for human flourishing

Project Details

Description

This funding, provided by the Binks Trust, establishes a partnership with the University of Edinburgh to create a new hub for collaborative community research – the Binks Hub.

Over a period of five year, the new hub will pioneer a new methodology of co-created research into social inequalities which will have a long-lasting positive impact on the communities and academic groups which embrace it.

The project academic leads - Emma Davidson, Autumn Roesch Marsh and Marisa De Andrade - will work together to establish the Hub's identity, governance and implementation, as well as undertaking research and impact activities with the aim of creating a culture of co-production within the academy.

Layman's description

The Binks Hub is a new initiative funded by the Binks Trust. The Hub will be developed over a five year period, until 2025. During this time, the hub will work with communities to think, create, and research together. Using art, crafts, and other creative activities, we will investigate how to use co-created methods to tackle the issues that matter most to people, driving real-world, positive change.
