Use of Pneumatic Splicing for Upcycling of Waste Engineering Fibres into Higher Value Products

Project Details

Description

Upsplice (Upcycle through splicing) is a project aimed at taking waste industrial fibres (e.g. carbon or glass fibres) and converting them into useful higher value fibre products using a technique called pneumatic splicing that connects fibres together without using adhesive or mechanical fasteners. This technique will increase recycling of composites.
