Using electrophysiology to investigate the causes of severe mental disorders

Project Details

Description

Would you like to learn wet lab techniques such as electrophysiology to investigate the neuroscience of mental disorders such as intellectual disability, epilepsy and autism? The Patrick Wild centre has access to a range of animal models of monogenic causes of these disorders with opportunities for students to complete SSC4s or summer projects in the lab. Alternatively if you would like to write a relevant literature review we may be able to supervise. Feel free to get in touch via Katie.Marwick@ed.ac.uk and we can discuss your interests, skills, and availability.
