National Institute for Health Research - Health Technology Assessment (NIHR-HTA) funded study that seeks to explore the effectiveness of combining a dedicated specialist telephone helpline with the offer of a free E-Cig to individuals who would like to quit smoking. The Trial is run by the Health and Lifestyle Research Unit at Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, Queen Mary University of London, with the University of Edinburgh leading the qualitative sub-study. The sub-study seeks to explore study participants, non-participants and health care professionals' views on the effectiveness and acceptability of combining an E-Cig with telephone helpline to support smokers to quit.
